

embroidery + vintage playing cards + striped baker's twine = one sweetly-kick-ass
garland (& not just for a valentine-ing!). i super appreciate the intricacy & construction of these--as i've been learning, embroidering paper is a hell of a lot harder than embroidering fabric (you can't see where you are coming up through, and once there is a hole, it's there for good). plus, everyone knows a garland can brighten up anything, especially the cold cave of a white-walled flat.
